The Followers of the Apocalypse joined them in trying to make the world a better place. In the years following the Battle of the Hoof, the New Lunar Commonwealth grew and tried to thrive. Balefire scorched the land of Equestria, and in one fiery instant the bones and hopes of a people mixed with ash and radiation of the newly created wasteland.

Just over two centuries ago, the climax of the Great War unleashed the terrible potential of pony kind, bringing forth the ruination of all. Sunrise must learn to survive and overcome the challenges of the wasteland with the help of her friends, and unlock the mystery of her past experiences with the most dangerous company in the Wasteland: Stable-Tec. Her band of misfit companions break out into an Equestria far different from the one Sunrise remembers - a wasteland that promises danger and death for the unwitting. She doesn't remember why she's there, and her Stable-Tec captors are nowhere to be found. and she wakes up in a pool of water, surrounded by strangers. She was sealed in a Stable-Tec stasis pod the day the Megaspells hit. Wandering Sunrise remembers Equestria as it once was: a land of harmony, broken by strife.
